Frequently Asked Questions

Waynesville Family Dental is a fee-for-service practice, which means we operate as an out-of-network provider. We are not contracted with dental insurance companies and do not plan to enter into new provider agreements. However, as a courtesy, we are happy to submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf.

Full payment is due at the time of service. On the day of your treatment, we submit your claim electronically to your insurance provider. Any reimbursement owed will be sent directly to you, the patient, by your insurance company. Reimbursement amounts are based on your out-of-network benefits as determined by your specific plan.

Dental insurance benefits can sometimes be confusing, and our team is here to help you better understand and navigate your coverage. If you have questions about your specific plan or would like assistance reviewing your benefits, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Yes we are accepting new patients but there is currently about a 2 month waiting period for a comprehensive examination with Dr. Lee and a 6 month waiting period for a cleaning. We recommend scheduling a comprehensive exam with Dr. Lee and a separate cleaning appointment when you contact us. There are often situations in which patients need to reschedule their appointments and we call our patients on the waiting list in order to work them in more quickly. It is very likely that you will be able to be seen sooner than your original appointments.
